Curcumin Extra Strength Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does Curcumin Extra Strength stay in my system?

Curcumin Extra Strength stays in your system for roughly 3 hours after consumption.

What makes Curcumin C3 Complex better than other curcumins?

Curcumin C3 Complex contains curcumin along with two other forms of curcumin, which help stabilize it. Studies revealed that the additional curcumins help protect from oxidative stress. C3 is more absorbable in the gastrointestinal tract versus standard curcumin by itself.

A recent study (The Strong Anti-Inflammatory Effects of Curcumin) showed that the major generic 95% curcuminoid products on the market had little to no anti-inflammatory or immunological benefit in comparison – only Curcumin C3 Complex had strong significant benefits.

What are the benefits of BioPerine?

BioPerine offers many different health benefits, but it's main use is to improve the bioavailability of other nutrients, like Curcumin, for example.

Can I take Curcumin Extra Strength while pregnant and/or breastfeeding?

If you are pregnant or nursing, we recommend consulting with your health care professional before use, as a precautionary measure.

How should Curcumin Extra Strength be stored? Can it withstand extreme temperatures?

Curcumin Extra Strength should be stored at room temperature, in a cool dry place. Preferably in a medicine cabinet or pantry. However, it is perfectly fine to store them in the freezer or refrigerator.

If Curcumin Extra Strength is traveling through extreme temperatures, the quality/potency will not be degraded in any way, according to the manufacturer.

What percentage of Curcumin is absorbed by the body?

Curcumin, in its natural form, is not easily absorbed by the body, with only up to 5% absorption regardless of its source quality and purity. To enhance its absorption, our product incorporates BioPerine, which makes our Curcumin C3 Complex 20 times more absorbable.

While the addition of BioPerine to our patented and proven Curcumin C3 Complex is beneficial, it's essential to note that improving the absorption of low-quality curcumin may not always be advantageous. When absorbing 20 times more of an impure and low-quality curcumin, it can lead to ingesting toxins and impurities along with it.

With our Curcumin Extra Strength product, you get 20 times the absorption of a high-quality and well-researched ingredient, supported by over 65 clinical studies.

Why is there a need for other ingredients in Curcumin Extra Strength?

The excipients or inert ingredients listed in the Other ingredients is common to almost all tablets and caplets that are manufactured in both the dietary supplement and pharmaceutical industries. Any tablet that is made from a powder to be compacted, even if its a whole food organic plant-based supplement, it still uses those ingredients to bind the tablet and also prevent the tablet from breaking apart in the manufacturing process. This is so the tablet can slide down the machines into bottles and not break into powder when you open the bottle and place it in your hands. Thus, when you look at all of the supplement markets, tablets/caplets are all made using these “inert” ingredients. That is how tablets/caplets are manufactured. Unfortunately, most companies white label (private label) products so they do not know anything about manufacturing and only provide information that is given by sales reps and marketers. Any company that claims tablets and/or caplets do not use those or other types of ingredients to do so for making them is not telling you the truth.

Inert ingredients are used in all manufacturing of tablets/caplets of supplements and pharmaceutical drugs. Being an inert ingredient basically means that it has come in contact with the caplet (i.e. sliding down a machine), but cannot be measured since it is  so small and not a major or minor ingredient. Many people, unfortunately, think that just because something is wildcrafted, organic, and Non-GMO doesn’t use such ingredients to make a tablet/caplet but they do – it just has not been disclosed to consumers.

What is magnesium stearate and why is it in the other ingredients?

Magnesium Stearate is a fine white powder that sticks to your skin and is greasy to the touch. It is a simple salt made up of two substances, a saturated fat called stearic acid and the mineral magnesium. Stearic acid can also be found in many foods, such as chicken, eggs, cheese, chocolate, walnuts, salmon, cotton seed oil, palm oil, and coconut oil. However, the Magnesium Stearate in Curcumin Extra Strength is plant-based from edible palm.

Magnesium Stearate is commonly added to many foods, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. In medications and vitamins, its primary purpose is to act as a lubricant. Magnesium Stearate is an additive that’s primarily used in medication capsules. It is considered a “flow agent.” It prevents the individual ingredients in a tablet or capsule from sticking to each other and the machine that creates the tablets and capsules. It helps improve the consistency and quality control of medication tablets and capsules.

It is possible to create supplement tablets and capsules without Magnesium Stearate, but it is more difficult to guarantee the consistency and quality of those tablets. Magnesium Stearate is used to delay the breakdown and absorption of medications, so they’re absorbed in the correct area of the bowel.
