Klean Kanteen

The first Klean Kanteen™ was cobbled together from things from a local hardware store in Chico, California. With some fine-tuning that prototype became the 27oz Klean Kanteen™ Classic, the first stainless steel water bottle designed for personal hydration.

From day one the mission of Klean Kanteen was to give people a better choice than plastic. They wanted to create a sustainably produced, reusable bottle made with BPA- and toxin-free, food grade stainless steel durable enough to last decades.

They introduced the 27oz Klean Kanteen in 2004. Word spread fast and in just a few years their little, family-owned business grew to a leader in the stainless bottle industry. Over the years they have added more sizes, introduced color, and then released the Wine Karafe™, perfect for carrying wine off the beaten path.

The slim Kanteen design, with it’s large mouth, is easy to drink from but also fits ice cubes and other big stuff like frozen strawberries. The high quality stainless steel doesn't need to be lined like some other metal water bottles, and will never retain or leach flavors.
